If you’re a frequent flyer, there are a few things you need to know that pilots and flight attendants are not telling you.

However, one flight attendant, Cierra Mistt, has opened up about little things you should be aware of.

She took to TikTok to share secrets you should know about when flying.

Germaphobes should brace themselves because it gets nasty.

One of her warnings is that when you go to the bathroom you should not use the toilet paper supplied.

“Instead use the paper towels. It’s higher quality and it won’t rip or dissolve like the toilet paper will,” she suggests.

Still, on the subject of the toilet, she strongly advises passengers to always wear shoes when going to the bathroom.

“Whatever you do, do not walk barefoot in the bathroom. I can promise you the liquid on the floor is not water. And you do not want to be stepping in it,” she warns.

She adds that the bathrooms never get clean unless it’s bad enough that they have to close it off for the rest of the flight.

If you thought that the plane gets a deep clean after every flight, you’re in for a surprise.

Mistt shares that while there are cleaners who come on flights once all passengers have disembarked, the only time they did deep cleaning was during COVID and adds that the only items they cleaned back then were the tray tables and seat belts.

“Nowadays it’s more like just a tidy up and getting the trash up off the floor,” she shares.

Ever wondered what you should do with the wipes flight attendants hand out?

Well, Mistt recommends that instead of wiping down the tray tables and seatbelts, you should clean the window next to you because, just like the bathroom, they never get cleaned.
