The Dorp hotel, located at the top of Cape Town’s historic Bo-Kaap, offers incredible views of Signal Hill, Table Mountain, the harbour, the Atlantic Ocean, and the city.

Dorp combines Georgian architecture with a unique character. Its centrepiece is the Salon, a shared space that acts as a lounge, dining area, and library.

The Salon is a welcoming space filled with books, rugs, and plants, offering cosy corners for guests to unwind or socialise.

The hotel features a range of accommodation options, including rooms, suites, studios, and cottages, all set around peaceful gardens and courtyards where guests can relax under the trees, enjoy the rooftop terrace, or take in the views from a Victorian-inspired glass house.

The hotel is divided into two sections: Dorp, with 27 rooms and suites, and Onderdorp, which has 15 rooms. Access between the two involves a staircase or a steep walk. Onderdorp also offers event spaces suitable for meetings or group gatherings.

Each room at Dorp is individually decorated with personalised touches, including bespoke toiletries and carefully chosen fabrics. Guests can also enjoy three shared plunge pools, perfect for warm summer days.

Meals at Dorp are served in the Salon or outdoors in the courtyard. The kitchen focuses on simple, hearty dishes with a homely feel. The restaurant is open to hotel guests and locals for lunch and dinner, but reservations are essential.

Whether for a romantic weekend or an extended stay, Dorp hotel in Bo-Kaap will be a memorable experience in one of Cape Town’s most scenic and historic neighbourhoods.
