Pop the champaign, darling, because one of South Africa’s biggest celebrities is returning with a brand new reality show.
Businesswoman, multi-award-winning radio and television host, global ambassador and style icon, Bonang Matheba will be on the small screen with “B’dazzled by Bonang” from Monday, July 29.
This six-part series is a co-production between Matheba’s production company, Bonang Matheba Entertainment and Cake Media.
According to the channel’s statement: “Viewers will be treated to an exclusive and intimate look into Matheba’s flourishing career and her life as an entrepreneur.”
With a 20-year track record in the entertainment industry, Matheba is one of the most sought after celebrities in Africa.
She owns her own luxury beverage, House of BNG, a Foundation, and has numerous brand collaborations with local and international high-profile brands including L’Oréal Paris and Steve Madden, among others.
The new show is a revamped version of Matheba’s YouTube show, “B’Dazzled”, which has attracted over one million followers.
“‘B’dazzled by Bonang’, is set to be bigger and bolder, bringing viewers closer to Queen B. In this behind-the-scenes style show, she will be sharing invaluable entertainment and lifestyle business insights and knowledge, coupled with her signature humorous unapologetic approach to life,” read the statement.
Matheba said: “After so many years in the industry, I’m excited to share a side of me that is not often seen – the business behind my various brands and how they are working to better society.
“’B’dazzled by Bonang’ is an exhilarating combination of the daily trials and tribulations that come with running my businesses, with a dose of the dazzle and glamour that my audiences have come to know and love.”
Sane Zondi, S3 channel head, added that they intentionally acquired the show as part of their efforts to boost ratings.
