Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi was left frustrated after his side dominated Cape Town City, but ended up losing 1-0 to the hosts in their Betway Premiership clash in The Mother City on Sunday.

City scored the only goal of the contest in the 51st minute as Darwin Gonzalez netted, but it was the visitors who had the lions’ share of possession with 62% of the ball.

Chiefs also had double the number of shots at goal to that of City, with the Soweto Giants reeling off 16 attempts.

Chiefs also turned in 469 passes to the 295 of City just for good measure.

“We feel that we made the same mistakes especially in the first half. We were unlucky not to take the right decisions in the final third going into the opponents’ goal,” Nabi told SuperSport after the game.

“Unfortunately the opponent got a counter-attack and we were not able to come back from that.”

Nabi went on to hint that his players were hesitant to pull the trigger up front.

“I feel the decision-making om the last third we had a lack… sometimes we play too many touches, sometimes we play too early, that how it was today and we feel we didn't deserve to win, but we didn't deserve to lose the three points but we have to go back, work and try to improve.

“We had to wait for an individual except [Mduduzi] Tshabalala, everyone needs to step up if a player does not feel good, everyone needs to lift the team and contribute to the improvement of the team.”

With the win, City moved up to 11th on the log with 14 points after 11 games. For Chiefs, they remained on 15 points from 11 matches in seventh place on the log.
