CAPE TOWN – South Africa seem set to continue with the four-pronged pace attack with the uncapped Lungi Ngidi and Duanne Oliver called up the squad for the second Test at SuperSport Park.
The duo’s call-ups were enforced after Dale Steyn broke down on the second day of the first Test at Newlands with an injured heel.
Steyn came out to bat on Monday, but was officially ruled out of the India series after seeing a foot specialist on Sunday.
Ngidi has played a three T20 Internationals for the Proteas previously, and impressed with his pace and ability to extract bounce off the surface. Olivier, meanwhile, has picked up 17 wickets in the five Test matches he has played at an average of 23.11.
