The Mdzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha is excited to announce that they are registered as one of the charity beneficiaries of the 2024 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, taking place this October 2024. This marathon, renowned for its scenic route, rich cultural highlights, and the vibrant spirit of Cape Town, provides runners with an unparalleled experience through one of Africa's most iconic cities.

In 2023, a spirited team of 44 supporters laced up their running shoes and raised an impressive R24,501 for Mdzananda Animal Clinic. They helped fund medical care for over 17,000 pets in need. But this year, the clinic is aiming even higher, double or even triple that amount!

“We have set a high goal,” said Marcelle du Plessis, fundraising and communications executive, “but we believe that, with the public’s support, we can achieve it. In 2023 we served over 17 000 community pets who would otherwise have had no access to medical care and all funds raised will go directly to serving the animals. Join the movement and make a difference.”

Here’s how you can get involved and make a difference while enjoying the thrill of the marathon:
