Cape Town - It is just after 11am on Wednesday and the rain is still falling on polling stations in Mfuleni.
A handful of voters still make their way to the polling booths in Mfuleni High School, Manzomthombo High school and Nyameko Primary, despite the rain.
Outside the gates, there are ANC, DA and EFF tents, with branded cars.
At Manzomthombo, were two women, Ethel Daweti, 57, and Mandisa Bangani in a wheelchair.
Daweti said she is happy about the sixth democratic election in SA, and hopes that her children will "finally" be employed.
Bangani said the government must always be mindful of those living with disabilities.
Mfuleni High School saw a massive number of voters in a happy mood.
Among the voters, was Gcobani Ntilashe, one of the community leaders, who stays in Mfuleni "super shack" where 200 people live.
Ntilashe said all they need is to be provided with land and a proper place to stay.
He said one of the things that motivated him were promises they got from the City of Cape Town, after their shacks were demolished early this year.
Nyameko Primary was not receiving many voters like Mfuleni High School and Manzomthombo High School.
