A woman is accused of deceiving her husband into selling his kidney to pay for their daughter's school, only to flee with a man she was having an affair with.

The woman who is from West Bengal, India reportedly coerced her spouse into selling his kidney on the black market for R215,527.

Following her relentless prodding, the husband relented to sell his kidney, and after a year of searching, he found a 'buyer' for the organ in late 2024.

The man sold his kidney, assuming that the money he gained would help his family's financial predicament, reported News18.

The husband also thought that the money he got from selling his kidney would make it simpler to prepare his daughter's wedding in the future. However, he was unaware of his wife's hidden motivations.

The woman and her lover supposedly met on Facebook and quickly started an affair.

When the husband was working to get his family free from hardship, his wife was reportedly planning her future with her new lover.

The husband later filed a complaint with the police and located the two lovers. His family then paid a visit to their residence in Barrackpore, bringing their 10-year-old daughter with them.

When they got to the residence, the pair of lovers refused to open the door for the family.

The woman allegedly challenged her husband to do anything he could and threatened to file for divorce. "Do what you want, I will be sending a divorce letter," she was quoted as saying.

Despite appeals from her father-in-law, mother-in-law, husband, and child, the wife did not walk outside of the home to speak with them.
