Paris Jackson has hit out at trolls who mocked her for “showing off” her armpit hair.
The 25-year-old singer was targeted online after she raised her arms to pull back her hair while posting an Instagram video tribute to her late dad Michael Jackson on Tuesday, which would have been his 65th birthday.
She said in an angry post after comments started to roll in on her comments section: “I wasn’t tying my hair up to show off my armpit … hair (eye rolling emoji.)
“I’ve not shaved it for years and forget it’s there all the time. Get over yourselves.”
Paris signed off with the joke: “I was pulling up hair up to show my glass cutting jawline.”
She told in her birthday tribute clip to Jackson she had been told by trolls in the past to kill herself if she didn’t post an annual message about him when he was born on 19 August.
Paris admitted Jackson hated people celebrating his birthday, and said in a separate clip fans who wanted to mark the day should get involved in something he “loved” such as climate change or animal rights activism.
She said: “If you are an MJ superfan and you want to do something that he would have loved – which is not celebrate his birthday – my suggestion would be there’s always ways to get involved with raising awareness for climate change; doing stuff for the environment; animal rights activism – these were things he loved and was very, very interested in.
“And I can’t speak for him – (he’s) a different person… I don’t know – but I’m sure he would have loved that.
“If you want to pay homage and honour him on his birthday, that would be my suggestion.”
Jackson died in June 2009 aged 50 from a cardiac arrest sparked by a massive accidental drug overdose of hospital tranquiliser propofol – which he referred to as his bedtime “milk” to help him sleep.
Paris said in her first video about his birthday: “There have been times where I don’t post anything for my dad’s birthday, and people lose their f****** minds. They tell me to kill myself.
“And they’re basically measuring my love for my own father based off of what I post on Instagram.”
While Paris honoured her dad on social media, her two brothers — Prince Jackson, 26, and Blanket ‘Bigi’ Jackson, 21, were spotted together in Las Vegas.
The duo was seen taking pictures with fans and signing autographs while at Sin City’s Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino after a Michael Jackson-themed Cirque du Soleil performance.
Jackson had Prince and Paris with ex-wife Debbie Rowe, to whom he was married from November 1996 to April 2000.
The singer said in the 2003 documentary ‘Living with Michael Jackson’ that Blanket was conceived via surrogate, though the woman’s identity was never revealed.
Jackson – whose legacy has been marred by a series of child abuse allegations – was also married to Lisa Marie Presley from May 1994 to August 1996 but the pair never had kids.
