For all book enthusiasts who want to be part of a cultural journey, this exhibition is for you.

Next week more than 1,000 books will be exhibited at the Good Hope Gallery in the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town.

You will be able to explore a collection of books from China and South Africa.

South Africa commemorates National Book Week from September 5 to 11.

National Book Week is an important initiative in encouraging the nation to value reading as a fun and pleasurable activity and to showcase how reading can easily be incorporated into one's daily lifestyle.

September 8 is International Literacy Day and the theme this year is “promoting multilingual education: literacy for mutual understanding and peace”.

The exhibition is jointly organised by China International Book Trading Group Company Ltd and Loot.co.za.

The China International Book Trading Corporation (CIBTC) is China's first book import and export agency and largest trading company of books in professional fields, as well as one of the country’s leading forces in book exports.

Books will be on sale, so don’t miss the chance to purchase exclusive titles.

The books have been provided by China International Book and Loot China and South Africa.

Admission is free and open to the public from September 6 to 8.
