As one of Mzansi's most celebrated artists, Makhadzi is not holding back her frustration. From topping charts to receiving backlash, she's been in the spotlight for a while.
But this time, it's not about her music - it's about ticket sales.
With international superstar Chris Brown set to perform at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on December 14, excitement has sky-rocketed. Tickets for the show range from R515 for general admission to a whopping R5,745 for VIP Hall of Fame Lounge tickets.
And if you thought that was enough, thanks to "unprecedented demand", a second date has been added to the Breezy tour. Talk about fan love.
But not everyone is feeling the hype, especially, Makhadzi.
The singer took to social media, clearly not amused by how quickly Breezy’s tickets sold out.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she let her fans know what’s on her mind.
She wrote in Sepedi: “South Africa KE MOVIE SO NNA I MUST TAKE 10 years to sell out PETER MOKABA STADIUM 🏟️ TICKETS . Chris brown lamofa 2 hours . Yoo lenalede tsele . Gale bona batho lena lebo hyper nyana Shem. Rekang di tickets before kella . 😠.”
Translated, her post read: “Why is it taking her forever to fill up Peter Mokaba Stadium while Chris Brown barely blinks before his tickets disappear?
“South Africa is a movie, so I must take 10 years to sell out Peter Mokaba Stadium. Chris Brown sells out in 2 hours. Yo, these people. You don’t see people; you just hype. Shame. Buy the tickets before I lose it."
