Big Boys 2, the sequel to Big Boys Don’t Dance, is set to rock Kalk Bay Theatre for the festive season. It will be performed until January 5, with an extra special evening planned for New Year’s Eve.
Not only will Big Boys Ash and Bradley Searle be astounding audiences on stage, they will be dazzling diners in the just-opened Kalk Bay Theatre Kitchen and Bar upstairs, as the multiple award-winning Follow Spot team takes over the restaurant. Follow Spot, who have recently returned from touring Europe and Australia, are known for their slick, power-packed and high energy entertainment.
The lively, vibey but relaxed and chic restaurant serves a variety of Mediterranean-inspired fare, and the bar has a selection of wines, beers, soft drinks, fresh juices, spirits, shooters and cocktails. After the show guests can linger for a nightcap, the finest coffee or a decadent dessert while chatting to the performers.
The Big Boys are going to be hands on, so you might even get lucky and find them serving your salad or mixing you up a cocktail! Cost for an eat as much as you like experience is R80. Tickets for the show are R100.
There are no performances on December 24, 25, 26 and January 1 and 2. Doors open at 6.30pm and seating is unreserved. The performance on December 31 (tickets R330 including cocktail on arrival, dinner and dessert) will start at 9.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm. Dance with Ash and Brad on the stage/dance floor to their DJ playlist of classic party hits as you welcome in the new year. There will also be additional entertainment from Nadine Theron, one of the top six dancers on So You Think You Can Dance.
