JOHANNESBURG - The final panel discussion of the day at the BRICS Summit took place in Sandton took place, with the session being moderated by Nozipho Mbanjwa.
The discussion was themed around advancing BRIC-Africa Partnership in pursuit of Industrialization, Infrastructure Development, and Integration.
The panel was made up of:
South Africa: Patrice Motsepe (African Rainbow Minerals)
South Africa: Koos Bekker (Naspers)
China: Tang Fuping (China Minmetals Corporation)
South Africa: Leslie Maasdorp (New Development Bank)
India: Onkar Kanwar (India BBC Chair)
Russia: Sergey Katyrin (Russia BBC Chair)
Koos Bekker said, "We had many investments in China and they failed. But we failed and learned. China is now protecting intellectual property very well. China is evolving fast to become a sophisticated economy and will be a very good country to do business in."
